What is a chemical toilet and how does it work?
A chemical toilet is an alternative for when you do not have access to a traditional toilet connection where waste is flushed away using water. In a chemical toilet, waste is broken down by chemicals or bacteria.
They have a flush-water tank and a separate tank in which human waste (feces) is broken down. This tank can therefore fill up, which means it needs to be emptied from time to time.
